January Lockdown

This has not altered our procedures, we still ask that all customers and volunteers;

  1. Sanitise hands on entering shop
  2. Wear a mask
  3. Socially distance which means no more than 2 in the shop at any time (excluding children)
  4. Observe the distance tape in front of the screen so stand back once you have put shopping on counter.

The familiar hands, face, space message.

Thank you for helping to keep the shop safe. If you want to go back to having shopping delivered we are happy to do that.

Christmas Opening Times

As you can see you don’t have to make a last minute dash, we are open every day over the Christmas period for at least a few hours!

The shop’s Advent window was the first to open, thanks to Barbara for organising it and Knit & Natter for letting us use their figures.

Advertising in the shop

It has been decided to revert to the original shop committee’s decision not to have notices displayed in the windows.

The boards in the front window remain for commercial organisations to advertise on at a small charge. The internal community board will continue to be available to local organisations.

Beat the bag tax

We now have the original long handled village shop bags back at just £2.99. Several customers who bought one when the shop opened still have it. They last well and being cotton can be scrumpled up and put in pockets without damage.

At 5p a go for plastic now its got to make sense to get your self a long lasting bag for all your shopping.
